About
Jude Bedel brings more than two decades of nonprofit management and fundraising expertise together with a deep commitment to equity and social justice. Through Bedel International Philanthropy Advisors (BIPA), she and her team partner with organizations across the arts, education, and social sectors to craft fundraising strategies that are both innovative and inclusive.
Jude’s career began in the early 2000s at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Washington National Opera under the leadership of Plácido Domingo. There, she refined her expertise in major gift solicitation, annual fund development, and event planning. These formative years also revealed systemic inequities in the arts sector and propelled her into leadership roles at the Arizona Opera and the New England Conservatory, where she helped lead transformative campaigns.
In 2020, during the height of the global pandemic, Jude founded Bedel International Philanthropy Advisors. Today, BIPA provides forward-looking, equitable fundraising solutions designed to help organizations remain resilient, sustainable, and impactful in the face of both crisis and opportunity.
BIPA’s global perspective. While fundraising as a structured profession is most developed in the United States and a handful of other countries, the need for sustainable philanthropic strategies is rapidly expanding worldwide. In Europe and across other regions, shifts in public funding and diminishing government resources are creating new space—and urgent demand—for private philanthropy.
